A slightly better update pic...

My sunscreen has absorbed nicely, so I decided to do a second pic with slightly better lighting.  My hormonal acne is still annoying me, but I think you can see the difference that the glycolic acid has been making in my underlying skin tone.

Also, I just gave in to temptation and subscribed to the Look Fantastic beauty box.  I chose this one because it seems to be weighted more on the skincare side of things than the makeup side of things.  I have discussed it with one of my sisters though and she has noblely volunteered to take any posh makeup I receive off my hands for me.  She's a true saint, she is.
